Thanks so much for your quick and enthusiastic response to our call for convention bloggers. Unfortunately, we only have a limited number of spots for bloggers at each convention and we won’t be able to accommodate you this time. This is by no means a reflection of you or your work — both stellar! — but more a symptom of us trying to manage a very complex (and evolving) coverage machine aiming at two big but moving targets.
We would definitely like to explore ways to work together in the future though, and we’d like to keep you on the shortlist for similar programs (in-house and cooperative with other partners) in the future. Again, thanks for considering this idea and for responding to the call for bloggers with such enthusiasm. We will all look forward to seeing your commentary on the conventions and election.

So Tumblr is sending bloggers to the conventions, including the GOP’s in Tampa Bay, Florida.
The relative dearth of conservative Tumblr blogs is well documented, so I’m quite curious who they’ll end up sending.
I don’t envy that unfortunate soul. It’s Tampa in late August, and I hear the strippers, parties, and drugs have been curtailed this round — because of, you know, the economy and everything.
Who else got one of these emails?
