1. It is extremely important that a majority of the court found the mandate to be beyond the power of Congress to legislate under the Commerce clause. This is a significant Commerce clause holding that will help protect liberty in the future.
2. The ACA, mandate and all, isn’t as bad as a million alternatives, one of which probably would have befallen us if the Supreme Court had struck down the mandate.
